How the YP group gives back: College Scholarship Fund

Your donations to The First Tee of Greater Charlotte Young Professionals helps support The Rudolph/Dadey College Scholarship Fund. This fund awards secondary education scholarships to students who have actively participated in The First Tee of Greater Charlotte programs, exemplify knowledge and application of the Life Skills Curriculum, as well as the Nine Core Values™. Scholarship recipients will be selected on the basis of need, academic accomplishment, community and TFTGC involvement.  Any high school senior or graduate of a school system in the immediate Charlotte area, will be eligible to apply.  There are currently 12 TFTGC alumni who received this scholarship for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Types of events: Masters Mixer, Golf socials, Happy hour with TFTGC Board members, and more!

Benefits:  In addition to the incredible rewards of helping local youth, the YP group will provide unique opportunities to network with dynamic professionals in the Charlotte area who enjoy golf and have a passion to grow the program. And of course there is always the opportunity to meet new people!

About The First Tee: The First Tee is a worldwide youth development program that teaches young people life skills through the game of golf. Participants have fun learning to play golf and spending time with mentors who can have a positive, lasting influence on their lives. The First Tee Life Skills Experience is a key differentiator in setting the Greater Charlotte chapter apart from many other youth programs. Focused on four important life skills and Nine Core Values™, the curriculum is research-based and delivered by PGA and LPGA professionals and trained volunteer coaches.
